Launching its new branch of Minimal Cafe with a speciality in the Japanese Bento, Kobane wishes to present its brand in a Japan-inspired refreshing environment. The initial interior is illustrated with mostly white and wood tones to generate a comfy surrounding for customers. Since Kobane comes from Minimal, the brand longs to complete its logo design consistent between the two cafes, which laid on a minimalistic yet harmonious design concept to bring a carefree experience.
Logo Design - “Kobane” in Japanese is “小羽根”, has its meaning of “feather”. In the concept of logo form, we combined the shape of Japanese bento and feather in a minimal lining approach. It is also linked and connected intimately with the logo of “Minimal” and serves as an expansion of the meaning behind the feather.
The cafe aura is flowing with a peaceful woody note, just perfectly fitting the leaves to retain a refreshing moment, so that we have selected the color of “Grass green” as the tone of the logo. The font of Comfortaa is a rounded geometric sans-serif which gives a chill-comfy sensation to the customer who walks by the restaurant, set themselves to get away from the hustle-bustle in a greenery Japanese cafe.
A woody aesthetic is running through the restaurant in a soft setting aura. Using wood as a material palette is the focus to interpret the cleanliness on effortless Japanese-style interiors with minimal sensations, while colors are mild to invite natural lighting go through the space, mixing with several details like bronze, ratten chair panels, and greenery for some layerings.
