A cosy cafe built for pet lovers is situated in the centre of this contemporary city - Urban Cafe, where people can simply enjoy a chilling coffee afternoon with their fluffy friends and home of little cats.
The cafe owner's wish is to create a quiet and homey place where visitors can escape from this bustling city for a little moment on a casual afternoon. Therefore, the design concept has taken nature's inspiration with the timber material to blend outdoors into indoors with minimal decoration and signage area design.
Composed of different sharp lines of the architectural building in the urban city, with the use of dark coffee-brown as the primary color which presents a theme of cafes. Taking inspiration from dogs' and cats' faces with sharpened geometric formations to illustrate the pet silhouette which also aligns with the urban typography and minimal design of Urban Cafe.
The shape is outlined in an arched design and covered in dark coffee brown with textured shimmering paper material as an emblem of this Japandi oasis. To stay coherent with a nature-blended interior and decoration, it also features the silhouette of a wooden tree to bring up the vibe of the cafe.
Under a soft wooden interior, the design of this signage uses the material metal bronze to bring out a sense of modernist minimalism, a unique detail of light trough design underneath the signage is added to stand out the shape of the graphics and logo. Besides, in order to adorn the entire interior, a lightbox design is placed to hide the storeroom of the cafe as a decorative wall.
